Diplomate of Acupuncture
A Diplomate of Acupuncture is an acupuncturist who is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM®). It is a considerable professional achievement to earn the designation Diplomate of Acupuncture (NCCAOM). NCCAOM certification indicates to employers, patients, and peers that one has met national standards for the safe and competent practice of acupuncture as defined by the acupuncture and Oriental medicine (AOM) profession. MN Board of Medical Practice
Having earned a master's degree in acupuncure in 2013 at the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture and passed certification exams by the NCCAOM, I now have a license from the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice to practice acupuncture in Minnesota.
Arizona Naturopathic Physicians Board of Medical Examiners
Having earned a doctorate degree in naturopathic medicine in 2005 at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, I have maintained a license as a naturopathic physician in Arizona, license #05-898. Acupuncture is part of the scope of practice for Naturopathic Doctors in Arizona.
